A Gorgeous Private Estate Wedding in Rye, NH

This gorgeous private estate wedding in Rye, NH had it all. Though Megan and Tyler’s wedding was originally planned as a winter celebration, they had to make the heartfelt decision to fast-track their plans due to a family member’s health. What could have been a logistical nightmare turned into something magical, thanks to the incredible vendor team who came together to make it happen.

Planned and designed by Lindsey M. Events, Megan and Tyler’s wedding was seamlessly re-envisioned into a breathtaking event that felt as though it had been in the works for months, not weeks. Despite the sudden change in plans, it felt as though this beachside wedding was always meant to be. The combination of their seaside ceremony and the elegant tented reception that followed at another family member’s private property in Rye perfectly reflected the couple’s dream for a day that was both intimate and vibrant.

The Welcome Dinner

The excitement wasn’t limited to just Saturday either; Megan and Tyler made sure their guests were treated to an unforgettable weekend. Tyler’s parents hosted a quintessential New England summer party on Friday evening to welcome everyone to the festivities. It was everything you’d hope from a seaside celebration, with freshly shucked oysters, lobster rolls, and an array of crisp New England IPA’s being served. And just when guests thought the night couldn’t get any better, a fireworks display lit up the beach, setting the tone for the weekend to come. It was the perfect prelude to the wedding day, truly shining a light on the thoughtful attention Megan, Tyler, and their families gave to creating a unique and memorable experience for their guests.

The Beachside Ceremony

On the wedding day, the surprises continued. As Tyler walked down the aisle, an unexpected plane flew overhead, towing a banner that read “Congratulations Cookie and Megan!” – a secret gift from the groom’s father. Between the plane, the sun peeking out behind the clouds, and the roar of huge waves breaking in the distance, Tyler’s face beamed with excitement and gratitude.

The Details

After the beachside ceremony, the couple hopped on Tyler’s motorcycle for a quick ride over to their reception, held at a nearby private residence. As guests began arriving, they were greeted by a garden party style cocktail hour, where high-top tables adorned with candles and delicate floral arrangements were scattered across the lawn, creating a classy yet relaxed vibe. Inside the tent, tables were decorated with bright flowers in shades of yellow, white, and green, while bistro lights, rattan chandeliers, and candles gave the space a warm, glowing atmosphere. Megan and Tyler wanted their wedding day to feel fun, beachy, and full of life, and the end result was exactly what they envisioned!

The Evening Celebration

Later that evening, as the band played “Che La Luna,” the couple delighted their guests with a dessert in honor of Megan’s Italian heritage. “The Dancing Cannoli Guy” brought the fun by serving freshly made cannolis with an interactive twist. It was a delicious way to wrap up a celebration that felt entirely them: filled with personal touches, laughter, and authentic moments.
