From a VERY snowy surf engagement session on the Jersey Shore (yes, they’re that adventurous) to a tropical beachside destination wedding at Rancho Santana in Nicaragua (also including a surf sesh), it’s safe to say that photographing Allison and Cliff is always seriously fun. Leaving wintry New Hampshire behind and hopping on a plane to spend four days with these two was a challenge we happily accepted.
Allison and Cliff kicked off their celebration with an oceanside sunset welcome dinner for all their guests. On Saturday morning, the guys and ladies each got ready at two poolside villas overlooking the Pacific Ocean before their sunset ceremony, after which the couple and their guests strolled off the beach to mingle and enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before a beautiful bistro lit al fresco family-style dinner.
After toasts were said, champagne glasses clinked, and plates passed around, it was time for a first dance under the trees just before the light completely faded and guests were treated to a surprise fireworks show. The tunes spun all night and the party truly didn’t stop until after the following day, where the celebration continued with a casual beachside hang with tacos, beer, and more good times. It’s safe to say that if you’re having a tropical destination wedding – our bags are already packed!
