This one had it all: New England at its finest, gorgeous autumn light, foliage, a kind, fun couple whose relationship was just purely enjoyable to capture, and a beautiful venue. I’ve never photographed a wedding at the Bradley Estate before, and Michelle and Evan think I’m just trying to flatter them when I say it was one of my favorites, but I loved shooting there. It has just the kind of historic charm that I live for and the grounds are meant for a celebration. Ultimately though, it’s of course the people that make the place and these people MADE the place. Everything from Michelle’s super sweet bridesmaids and Evan’s kind groomsmen, to their amazing parents and siblings showed evidence of the kind of relationships and community they’ve established: ones made entirely of love. And the photos of Michelle and her dad…those will never not make me cry.
The day began with the ladies and guys getting ready at their hotel, followed by a final touch-up in the bridal suite of the Bradley Estate (which was awesome in and of itself and made for some stunning portraits)! Michelle and Evan chose to do a first look, which wasn’t hard to scout as the property is full of tree-lined pathways and small hideaways. At the stunning outdoor ceremony, it was incredible to finally see friends and family being able to gather safely in celebration of Michelle and Evan, followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and finally, a tented dinner and dance party, starting with the hora, which ALWAYS gets the party going and is secretly one of my favorite wedding moments.
As the sun set on this perfect autumn day, I felt like I usually do at the conclusion of a wedding: truly grateful that I get to meet such awesome humans who trust me with their moments and their memories, and quickly become friends.
