Anyone that knows me knows you never have to twist my arm to be on the water, and especially to get on a boat, so when Hanna and Nat decided they’d like to spend an evening out in the Portsmouth harbor for their engagement session, I was filled with ideas and excitement for the kinds of photos we could take. We started about an hour and a half before sunset to snag a few photos with their pup, Lincoln, before heading out for a cruise on the Piscataqua River, making our way from York, Maine into New Hampshire and through multiple Portsmouth, NH landmarks. They popped some bubbly, got some tunes going, and downtown Portsmouth was absolutely alive with just the kind of summer energy that’ll put anyone into a good mood. 

With the sun setting over the Memorial Bridge, we made our way back and ended the shoot back on the dock with one of Hanna and Nat’s favorite inside jokes: shotgunning beers!
